Automattic showed up strong at WordCamp Europe (WCEU) a few weeks ago, and in the kind of intentional, layered programming that means something to the people who were there. Here’s a look at everything we had going on:
Our booth spanned two levels in the sponsor hall, with WooCommerce, WordPress.com, Jetpack, Pressable, and Automattic for Agencies all under one roof. We made it a point to partner with local Polish artists throughout; Patryk Hardziej prints for A4A, Ola Niepsuj custom tote bags and travel pouches for Jetpack and WordPress.com, and Michalina Rolnik label design on Pressable’s custom HAYB Speciality Coffee espresso blend. When you’re showing up in someone’s city, the least you can do is bring the city into it.
Woo x Google Roundtable: this one was about getting the right people in the right room. Two parallel focus groups, agency and builder, with Google and WooCommerce together, structured to generate real conversation, not presentations. Followed by dinner at Farina, a newly awarded Michelin Guide restaurant on the historic streets of Kraków.
Automattic Connect, presented by A4A, brought our brands: WordPress VIPJetpackPressableWooCommerceWordPress.com together at Plac Nowy 1 in the heart of Kraków’s Kazimierz district. A VIP beer tasting for our top 20 partners, and custom metal-engraved luggage tags from Mateusz Pograniczny. This is what agency relationships look like in person.
Woo Community Meetup at Restaurant Aquarius on the Vistula River. Local artist 102 Concept doing robot portraits, swag from Woo Merchant Streetchka, a pretzel cart serving obwarzanek krakowski (Kraków’s famous ring-shaped street bread… if you know, you know), and the full Woo ecosystem together for one evening. Sponsored alongside Google, Klaviyo, and Mollie, this is the event I look forward to most every year.
WordPress Mercantile Pop-Up – we worked with the community to setup an IRL store with WP Mercantile favorites and exclusive WCEU pieces, available throughout the conference days. Back for the first time since 2018.
Kraków was the perfect city for all of it – the history, the energy, the creative scene. Grateful for the team that made every piece of this possible, and for the community that makes it worth building.
