She currently leads Global Events at Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Tumblr, and other platforms powering the web. In this role, Megan oversees flagship events, industry sponsorships, and executive experiences, while also leading the strategy and operations of workplace environments and global swag and merchandising programs, ensuring a cohesive, high-quality brand experience across both physical spaces and live moments.

Megan has played a key role in evolving flagship programs like WordCamp US and WordCamp Asia, collaborating closely with the global WordPress community to build on a strong foundation created by organizers and volunteers. Her work sits at the intersection of brand, storytelling, and operations, with a focus on elevating quality and consistency while preserving the community-driven spirit at the core of these experiences.

Prior to Automattic, Megan held roles across media, technology, and global brands including Time Inc., Fortune, and Canon, where she developed a strong foundation in experiential marketing, partnerships, and audience engagement.

She brings a clear point of view on how in-person experiences shape perception, trust, and long-term brand equity, and is particularly interested in the future of events in a world shaped by AI, remote work, and digital communities.
